Haha, remember back when I said it would be strictly art-updating? Well so much for that. Anyway this is it. Time for the fans still hanging around to see whether the wait was worth it! The remaking is complete, the pages are updated, the planets are aligned and I'm fighting back manly tears.

Passion's remade pages may have seemed underwhelming, but I'll tell you all right now that it was more of a simple "Remaster" compared to the full-on "Remake" of the Prologue and Wings chapter. Not only did I update the artwork on almost the entirety of both chapters, but dialogue was improved and overhauled as well, and certain things I improvised too much are now fixed and better than ever! Especially in the prologue, whoo boy that took more changing than expected.

Now before moving on, I want to say that I recommend EVERYONE RE-READ WOE FROM THE BEGINNING.
I know it sounds tedious and that I originally promised to only update the art, but as I was going through everything I noticed more and more that there was just too much nonsensical dialogue, too much "try-to-sound-cool" BS that 2008-me wrote, and too much improvisation. Now that WOE has a real path to follow and the story is all more or less set in stone, I've been able to improve the dialogue and writing quite a bit.

So yeah, the changes are significant. I really recommend everyone read the entire comic from the beginning again without skimming, even Passion to an extent, as the pages with Ixal and Xellis had the dialogue changed quite a long time ago, though I'm not sure if I ever made mention of it.

I'll have a few updates ready for this weekend, so when you're done re-reading you won't have long to wait for some new pages~

I don't know what else to say before getting into the nitty-gritty of this update other than something I can't say enough; I love everyone who's still sticking around and ready for more WOE. You guys are the best, and I'm sorry this took so terribly long to finish up.

That said, let's get down to business... Changes!

- All character bio pics have been updated, and Dirsta's theme has been changed!

- The profile description for the comic has been updated to better match the new tone and style of the dialogue changes! (I just wanted to purge as much of the nonsensical improvisation done by 2008 me as possible. Even the comic description was making me cringe.)

- Starting with the next update pages will now use the Crisis' 800x1000 page size.

- Music for WOE's faux "soundtrack" will be handled by that nifty little music player at the bottom. It disables opening new tabs, but continues playing music even as you change pages! I'm sure I've talked about it before, but can't remember how recently or how significant of a post it was, so I'm throwing it on this list nonetheless.

- Speaking of music, I've been screwing around and trying all kinds of different stuff for the main theme of the 1st Arc, (AKA: The prologue and Wings Chapter,) and have finally settled on one I won't be changing again. Other than that...
* The "Story for Eternity" chapter itself has a new track to cover the chapter.
* "Memories of the Planet" now has it's own theme.

- The way the series will be structured has been changed. Nothing that'll actually affect the comic, it's just a matter of organization.
WOE will consist of two [ Seasons ] total. These seasons will consist of [ Arcs ], and each Arc will consist of two [ Chapters ], with a single exception in Season 2.
The Arcs are largely for themesong purposes, while the Seasons are for convenience, (so I don't have to describe the two as "pre-time-skip" or "post-time-skip" or whatever. I'd also like to stop being so vocal about the time-skip, so that it can still come as a surprise to later readers when it finally happens.)
So yeah, just throwing that out there. Future comics will also follow a similar structure of Seasons > Arc/Report/Saga > Chapter. The center being different for different comics. (WOE uses Arcs, whereas The Blackjack Chronicles will use Reports, etc.)

- The front page has been edited to match the EthereaVerse's front page, Twitter feed and all. I'm not sure I'll get a ton of use out of it, but I just want to experiment with different ways of providing news to my fans, whether it be through the EthereaVerse, Twitter or whatever.

- The Background has been updated, then tweaked some more! (Hope it's less distracting now and all around easy on reader's eyes, haha. I really enjoy using this style of BG, so it can be disheartening hearing complaints about it.)

- A [Downloads] section has been added for those who want to download a .rar stuffed with the old version of WOE.

What's Next? - Hopping right back into WOE. I'll continue from where things left off in Passion, and next anniversary the Crisis will start back up again. Sorry again for postponing it this year, but it certainly helped boost remaking speed.

- Clicking on "Begin Reading" in the comic's SJ profile brings readers to the first "Misc" section page instead of the first actual page, which is a bit of an issue. I want to make a little Title page to stick in the front of Misc that points new readers in the right direction, story-wise, so they don't just click Begin Reading and get hurled into a section full of random shit like Anniversary pages and fanart.

- After WOE is back in action I wanna work on some pages for Welcome to the IFS! here and there.

- I want to replace the artwork in the Lore pages, touch up the writing itself and give them better headers. A couple of them have really bad, (and dated,) info in 'em, and I wanna fix those up, so essentially give them the same treatment I gave the actual pages. Just... Later.

(Oh, and this will be moved to the Wings Chapter where it belongs once I update again. Just wanted to give this stuff the front-page treatment!)

In closing: I know this took forever, and for those of you who stuck through it all and plan to keep reading, I love you to death. You're my favorite people in the world, and if you stuck around through everything so far I promise not to disappoint you with where WOE is going! From here on out I'll be sure to do my very best to make this comic great, and although I can't promise to update regularly, I'm going to try my damndest to update as much as possible.

Again, thank you. Thank you thank you thank you, and I hope you enjoy reading the new and improved WOE! I'll be back soon to finally continue on with the story!

~ Ciao

(And merry Pokemon X/Y Release Eve, everyone!)

@Seven Rain:
Meh, I go for the default edition. I'm a purist and want the product without the fancy-schmancy stuff.

I'm the only person at starbucks who will order an ordinary coffee. Without artificial flavour.

@JoKeRcologne: Haha, well joking aside the current version is the closest to how I've always envisioned the series, so let's not call it the default or fancy-shmancy, just... Definitive. ;D

It's your baby ...call it what ever you want. (^___-)

@Redjive: Sorry Red but I already went through that process before! It took me a looong time even without spending time drawing new stuff in-between, it's just not feasible, (and in the world of webcomics you'll find that nobody advises it, either.) It's a lot of work and after another few years it'll still look dated.

Instead I've been hard at work on a New Readers' Guide that recaps everything leading up to Rosen with a few pieces of new artwork, so that people can skip Wings and Passion for a much more brief summary read. Even though it's intended for new readers, it'll also serve as a decent refresher for people who've been keeping up with the comic and want to remember what happened in the old chapters, (though it only goes through the most important aspects of the story, so some detail gets lost.)

@Redjive: That's putting it quite bluntly, eh? Haha, I'll worry about all that stuff on my own in due time, let's not fill the comment section of Chapter 1's title page with too much doom and gloom over the old artwork.

Trust me I live everyday with insecurity about people making it through the old pages, but webcomics are unique beasts when it comes to art evolution and the like.
And besides, you read it instead of giving up when you reached this point, right? You can't assume others won't do the same.

@Seven Rain: sorry didn't mean to sound mean.
And yes, that's true, I did read the whole thing.

@Redjive: No worries, just know that it's all stuff I've taken into consideration over the years already!
